The Playground Improvised music series is the focal point for Boston^(1)s thriving improvised and experimental music scene. The Playground presents concerts every Friday, showcasing the variety and vitality of Improvised music in Boston, as well as bringing musicians from around this country and the wider world to a local audience. The music is always fascinating, always challenging, and always differentÐit is always changing and it is always new. The Playground is now in its seventh year, and has been an integral part of Boston^(1)s music community over this whole period. It has had several curators, among them Eric Zinman, David Gross, and James Coleman. It is presently, graciously, hosted by the Boston Dance Company. It is curated at present by Ben Kelley.
